About this Role:

The Menu R&D Specialist - Product Information is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all information and assets related to our menu products.  We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our Menu R&D team as a Menu R&D Specialist -  Product Information. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product information (ingredient statements, labels, images, descriptions, etc) across physical and digital assets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product information, including attributes, descriptions, images, and specifications.
    • Verify and validate all product-related information before items are approved for production.
    • Create new ingredient part numbers in the inventory system as needed.
  • Partner with Menu R&D teams, creative marketing, Quality & Food Safety, and procurement teams to ensure accurate product information.
    • Lead change management documentation and communication to stakeholders
  • Manage the "Menu Tool," our internal content management system, for website, app, and fridge UI content and maintenance.
  • Menu Asset Management
    • Master Recipes and Recipe Formulas
    • Generate and maintain UPCs for all active and future products.
    • Generate and maintain Nutrition Fact Panels for menu products.
    • Maintain label files in compliance with local and federal legislations, with a focus on familiarity with USDA labeling requirements.
    • Generate and maintain Finished Product Specifications as well as Customer-Specific Specifications
  • Ongoing Maintenance
    • Utilize vendor/supplier specifications to manage ingredient information accurately.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between actual product information and published online data.
    • Record and document product information processes and procedures, updating them as necessary.
  • Coordinate the timely provision of label files to vendors and internal teams when updates are required.
  • Conduct regular audits of digital and physical assets to ensure compliance with ingredient specs and recipe formulas.

Who You Are:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in menu development, food service, or related industries is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficient in using content management systems and inventory systems.
  • Effective prioritization skills and time management abilities.
  • Experience working in ESHA Genesis or other Nutrition Management Systems 
  • Familiarity with UPC (GTIN)
