Senior Analyst, Portfolio Strategy & Operations
Farmer’s Fridge makes fruits and vegetables accessible and approachable for everyone. We offer a variety of fresh, healthy, ready-to-eat meals and snacks through our fresh food vending machines, wholesale partners, and our office pantry solution — providing chef-curated meals to customers within seconds. Today, we operate a network of Fridges and partner with clients nationwide in high-foot-traffic areas, such as airports, hospitals, universities, and large office buildings — where there is limited accessibility to fresh, healthy, grab-n-go options.
We care deeply about what we’re creating and aspire to make sure our customers feel that through every touchpoint. This shows up in many ways across the business. We are committed to prioritizing food safety, we are passionate about product quality, we value our employees, we champion the best idea no matter where it comes from, and we’re committed to making an overall positive impact as we scale.
About this Role: The Senior Analyst, Portfolio Strategy & Operations will help build the systems, economic frameworks, and operating processes that determine how Farmer’s Fridge manages and optimizes our growing portfolio of Fridges.
Sitting at the intersection of Revenue Operations, Channel Strategy, Account Management, Finance, and Fridge Operations, you’ll turn portfolio decisions into scalable, repeatable processes. You’ll establish the thresholds, reporting, forecasting, and decision frameworks that help the business understand when and how to activate, convert, relocate, or remove Fridges while protecting portfolio profitability.
We’re looking for someone who can combine strong analytical and economic judgment with process design and cross-functional leadership. You’ll take complex, often manual workflows and build the systems and guardrails that allow teams to make better decisions and execute them consistently as we scale.
What You’ll Do…
Drive Portfolio Economics & Decision-Making
- Develop and maintain economic thresholds, payback logic, and decision frameworks that ensure portfolio actions are grounded in expected return.
- Build consistent frameworks for evaluating requests such as Fridge moves and swaps, including feasibility, tradeoffs, resource requirements, and expected financial impact.
- Own site-traffic intelligence and operationalize data, including mmWave traffic data, to inform placement, relocation, and removal decisions.
- Partner with Accounts Receivable to improve payment discipline across the Business+ portfolio, including invoicing readiness, escalation visibility, and stocking-pause decisions.
- Analyze recurring site-access challenges and partner with Fridge Operations to establish standards that improve access reliability, reduce badging constraints, and prevent operational issues from impacting revenue.
Own Portfolio Forecasting & Reporting
- Model the pipeline of new launches, inactive Fridges, removals, and available pod inventory by market, providing key inputs into Finance forecasting and downstream demand planning.
- Build and maintain a Portfolio Pulse that connects the Sales pipeline and historical trends with expected removals, installations, and available Fridge supply.
- Lead recurring portfolio and removal reviews, developing clear pre-reads, recommendations, decisions, owners, and next steps.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure critical Salesforce dates and milestones are accurate before work moves into execution.
Build Scalable Systems & Processes
- Own the structure and integrity of portfolio data in Salesforce, including statuses, milestone dates, and key account and contact information.
- Build and maintain portfolio health and execution trackers that create clear visibility into underperforming Fridges, removals, relocations, and other portfolio interventions.
- Maintain a clear exception framework for Fridges operating outside standard economic thresholds, including rationale, ownership, and expiration dates.
- Develop decision trees, operating rules, RACIs, scorecards, and other tools that clarify how recurring portfolio decisions should be made.
- Identify manual workarounds and recurring follow-ups that can be standardized or automated, partnering with the appropriate teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Build clear structures around cross-functional ownership, targets, incentives, and operating rhythms.
Drive Cross-Functional Governance
- Partner closely with Channel Strategy, Account Management, Finance, Sales, Fridge Operations, and Logistics to ensure portfolio decisions move efficiently from analysis to execution.
- Create clear swim lanes and handoffs so teams understand who owns each stage of the portfolio lifecycle.
- Identify recurring breakdowns or exceptions, determine their root causes, and translate them into upstream process improvements.
- Close the loop on initiatives and decisions rather than relying on escalation or one-off problem solving.
Who You Are…
- Analytically strong and comfortable using financial and operational data to make recommendations, establish thresholds, and defend your point of view.
- You think in systems. When you encounter a recurring problem, your instinct is to build a process, rule, tool, or automation that prevents the team from solving it manually again.
- Deep understanding of the connection between operational decisions and business economics, including revenue, margin, payback, capacity, and resource tradeoffs.
- Collaborative working across Finance, Sales, Strategy, and Operations and can translate between teams with different priorities.
- Proven experience building or improving reporting, trackers, decision frameworks, operating processes, or governance structures.
- Proven experience with CRM and operational data, and the ability to identify gaps and improve data quality and usability.
- You can bring structure to ambiguity and move from analysis to a clear recommendation and action plan.
- You take full ownership of processes and follow through until the loop is closed.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional partners, and are comfortable challenging assumptions when the data points to a better answer.
